Level: College Prep * Grade Level: 10-12 Prerequisite: Course No. 599 This course will allow the student who has successfully completed exploring photography to develop the ability to translate forceful and meaningful ideas in the media. The Photo IIB students will learn the skills necessary to produce pictures of professional quality. In the studio and with outside assignments, students become familiar with a wide variety of cameras, lenses, film and lighting to be used in different situations. The students will work on creating images using more advanced techniques in the darkroom as well as with the digital camera, scanner, and computer. The end result will produce a professional, personal portfolio for the student. This course will stress the importance of photography as a means of individual expression as well as a critical tool for the artist and the designer.
